Kelly Rayner is the author of One More Unfortunate, her debut historical murder mystery novel. Fascinated by the darker corners of history, Kelly loves exploring the crimes, secrets and social injustices of the Victorian era. It is the first in a planned trilogy, with The Sick Rose and The Ravening Wolf to follow at a later date.

No longer interested in climbing the corporate ladder, Kelly spends much of her time in her imagination, dreaming of writing novels and flouncing around an imaginary garden in long, flowing dresses, surrounded by crows, sunflowers, and tomatoes.

Back on terra firma, she can usually be found researching either the best way to poison an enemy (for purely literary purposes, she swears) or chicken coops sturdy enough to deter foxes, despite living in a fourth-floor apartment block.
